I have read many different things and am unsure which to trust.
This is something I use all the time which is why I'd like to get it right. So there are four different possibilities and I have no idea which on is correct or generally used. Practice Decide what verb you'd use for these sentences. Quedar spnishthe pronominal version of quedar, has a different meaning: to stay somewhere.
I wanting sex meeting
Conocer It means to know someone or something, but also to meet someone for the first time. Nos vamos a quedar en un hotel - We're going to stay in a hotel.
Can anyone help me out? I only questioned this because I can't ever remember hearing it used, and because it is so bulky, I'm wondering if there too a more common way to say this.
So I checked on spanishdict which only confued matters; it lists "reunirse con" for meeting by arrangement, but then lists "quedar con alguien" for "to arrange to meet somebody", and doesn't even reference the two ways given by my book. Ex: Me quedo en casa hoy - We stay at home today.

One of my more trusted refrences "Breaking through Beginner's Spanish" a booksays that "encontrar" is used for chance meetings, while for planned get-togethers "quedar en verse con" or "quedar en encontrarse con" should be used. Ex: mwet Conozco gente nueva en mi trabajo- I meet new people in my work.
